Peter Obi enters Tinubu’s FBI records drama: “Oga, we need answers

Nigeria’s political WhatsApp group has officially received another voice note.

Peter Obi has jumped into the ongoing drama over President Bola Tinubu and the FBI records, and his message is basically: “Abeg, make everybody calm down and explain this thing.”

According to Obi, Nigerians deserve transparency and accountability, especially when questions surrounding a president’s past are making international headlines.

And honestly, the matter don turn season film.

Instead of just staying in Nigeria and arguing on X, the whole FBI-records saga has found its way into the US legal system. At this point, Nigerians watching the drama are probably wondering whether popcorn should be added to the national budget.

Obi questioned why records connected to the president should become such a serious courtroom matter when Nigerians are simply asking for clarity.

His argument is simple: If there’s nothing to hide, why are we doing hide-and-seek with documents?

He also raised questions about Tinubu’s educational credentials, saying Nigerians should be able to get clear and verifiable answers.

Because apparently, in Nigerian politics, asking “Where did you school?” can sometimes become a question with more plot twists than a Nollywood movie.

But Obi says this goes beyond Tinubu.

For him, political leaders should understand that their actions affect the country’s image and the kind of example being set for young Nigerians.

Basically, his message to politicians is:

You can win the election, occupy the office and enjoy the convoy — but you can’t expect Nigerians to uninstall their curiosity.

For now, the FBI records saga continues, and Nigerians are watching like it’s the season finale.

Pass the popcorn. 🍿
